About

What a year it has been. Regular rainfall, an almost normal winter, and a superb growing season for spring flowering bulbs (and dare I say, gardens in general). The daffodils flourished with the extra water, putting on a spectacular display of lasting colour. Tulips performed an absolute treat, with vibrant, lasting displays, lasting well into the spring. We hope your gardens have performed to perfection also.

This past year has seen some large changes within ‘Drewitt’s Bulbs’. I would like to thank you for your patience, as in some cases, it has taken longer than normal to dispatch orders. Colin and Marj have now fully entered retirement, leaving Tim as a one man show for the time being. With this in mind, I need to inform you of our new phone number (03) 9737 9346, please ensure this is the number used for bulb enquiries. Please note, as it is a one man show, the phones may not be answered during the day, but please do leave a message and an ideal contact time and I will return your call.

This season we welcome many new lines to our already extensive range of high quality bulbs. Some to mention – Daffodil ‘Katie Heath’, a superb pink and white miniature (Pg 15), Tulip ‘Black Hero’, a striking double black variety and some superb new crocus additions. We have expanded our ever popular Tulip range, with tried and tested varieties, we trust you will find that something special to try!

As usual, we have endeavoured to extend our rare bulbs. Please note, as many rare bulbs (rare being the operative word) are in very short supply, you should order early to avoid disappointment. If there is a bulb not listed, that you are chasing, feel free to make contact, as we may have some available, or be able to point you in the right direction.

As always our aim is for customer satisfaction, service, quality of stock and good measure. All bulbs are flowering size unless otherwise specified. We are proud of our product, if you have any issues please don’t hesitate to contact us!

I am also following my personal passion for youth work, and over the past year has been volunteering at a local high school two days a week. From this, a group of like-minded people are in the process of forming a youth organisation in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. A percentage of all sales through this catalogue now goes to supporting youth, and youth workers in the community.

I hope you enjoy catalogue 2012, and find that special item for your garden!

Gift bulbs are included with every order, regardless of the size of the order.

We have simplified the flowering period for the daffodil & tulip lines. A letter now appears in brackets beside the variety name, indicating the approximate order of flowering on our farm. Please note, different climates will result in different flowering times.
